QUICK QUOTES INSPIRATION WEEK CONTINUES!

We are continuing our Quick Quotes Inspiration Week with a beach-themed Mixed-Media Album by designer Susie Bentz. The Want2Scrap album contains pages made out of chipboard, corrugated cardboard, cork, canvas and more! Susie chose to work with Quick Quotes’ Be Bold line, with its bright colors, bold patterns and tropical flair.

To start off the album, the fancy cut chipboard shape was covered with the striped paper. Susie used a Spellbinders die to cut a sentiment from another paper in the collection and created a mat from red cardstock. She added in a fussy cut surfboard and a chipboard sticker before accenting it all with Brackets Fancy in white pearls.

Inside the front cover Susie positioned the paper so that the patterns lead the eye to her fun summer photo! On the right, she painted and heat embossed the fancy chipboard gate that comes in the Mixed Media album and topped it off with a chipboard sticker.

When you flip the gate over, you get inspiration from another chipboard sticker! The page on the right is actually the reverse side of the adhesive backed cork page in the Mixed Media Album. Once she adhered the bright red and white hibiscus paper she trimmed along the edge to reveal the fancy edge.

The Retro Glasses from Want2Scrap are the perfect accent for a beach-themed project! The Beautiful Bling Borders – Fancy That adds just a bit of whimsy!

Susie used the Want2Scrap Alphabet stencil to create the words on the left side.

Below is a close up of the canvas page. Susie used spray mist through the Arrows stencil then outlined some of the arrows with a black pen. The strip journaling you see throughout the album was cut from one of the pages in the Be Bold collection and adhered with ScorTape.

A simple pocket page accented with Beautiful Blooms border!

For the last page, Susie dry-brushed some gesso to reveal the texture from the corrugated cardboard before adding the chipboard sticker title and other fussy cut elements to accent her photo.
